 Drop-Off Recycling
Materials and Preparation Tips
The new drop-off program allows you to recycle mixed paper items and mixed containers. Follow the instructional signs on the bins to place your mixed paper in the correct opening and mixed containers in the other. Place newspaper in special "Newspaper Only" collection bins to most efficiently recycle this material.
Please do not place plastic bags (garbage or grocery) filled with your recyclables into the drop-off containers. Plastic bags are not recyclable in CVWMA programs and may cause equipment to break at the processing and sorting facility. If you use plastic bags to transport your items, empty the plastic bag into the container and then properly dispose of or recycle it. (Plastic grocery bags are collected at many grocery stores.)
Newspapers Place in separate collection bins where available If newspaper-only bins are not available, place in mixed paper bins. May include Glossy Inserts/Slick Advertisements No plastic bags |
