About Us
The Central Virginia Waste Management Authority (CVWMA) is a public service authority that implements solid waste management and recycling programs for 13 local goverments. Since it's formation in 1990, the CVWMA has endeavored to provide efficient and economical waste management and recycling solutions for it's member jurisdictions. The CVWMA's aim is to meet local goverments waste manegement and recycling needs, through improving existing services and programs and expanding into new program areas.

The CVWMA serves the Cities of Colonial Heights, Hopewell, Petersburg, Richmond; the Town of Ashland; and the Counties of Charles City, Chesterfield, Goochland, Hanover, Henrico, New Kent, Powhatan & Prince George.
